At Pentacon, we believe great projects start with great people. We're looking for an experienced and approachable HSEQ Advisor to join our Mackay team across both Civil and Mining operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Managers, you'll provide practical support across a range of health, safety, environmental, quality and training activities. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Pentacon's HSEQ systems and processes.

• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.

• Assist with incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate training, inductions and competency requirements.

• Maintain licences, qualifications and training records.

• Facilitate toolbox talks and promote positive safety behaviours.

• Provide guidance and support to project teams across Civil and Mining operations.

• Assist with reporting, audits and compliance requirements.

• Build strong relationships with employees, subcontractors and clients.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes a practical approach to safety and compliance.

You may have:

• Local to the Mackay Region essential

• Experience in an HSEQ, Safety or Training role within civil construction, mining or a similar industry.

• A Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to maintain currency).

• Knowledge of WHS legislation and industry requirements.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• The ability to influence and engage people at all levels.

• Experience coordinating training and maintaining competency records.

• A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
