Your new role
- Safely operate refinery plant equipment in line with procedures and safety standards
- Monitor production processes using control systems (including SCADA)
- Complete shift logs and maintain accurate operational records
- Ensure product quality through routine checks and reporting
- Identify hazards, report incidents, and contribute to a safe working environment
- Maintain housekeeping standards to prevent contamination and ensure cleanliness
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Work a rotating roster (3 days/2 nights/4 days off, 2 days/2 nights/4 days off, 2 days/3 nights/3 days off - across 12-hour shifts)
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment (sugar or similar highly regarded)
- Ability to work a continuous rotating roster (12-hour shifts, days and nights)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Basic numerical and literacy skills
