Our Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, approximately 30km north-east of Moranbah and 160km from Mackay and forms part of the broader Argo Complex. This integrated mining complex includes the Ironbark Longwall Pit, Carborough Downs Bord and Pillar pit and Broadlea Open Cut where collaboration between our sites and teams is key to delivering safe and efficient outcomes.

WAHT THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ABOUT

Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, this role is responsible for efficient and safe delivery of accurate and timely coal quality sampling and analysis.

• Conduct timely and accurate coal sampling, analysis, and reporting.

• Maintain laboratory records, documentation, and filing systems.

• Comply with all safety, training, and environmental policies and requirements.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards across laboratory and sampling areas.

 WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Previous experience in a coal laboratory, CHPP, mining, or related environment is preferred.

• Hold a certification in laboratory sampling or equivalent.

• Have strong attention to detail, a structured approach to work and the ability to work independently.

• Have a positive can-do attitude, be able to communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across the operation.

• Be confident with using Microsoft Suite and be able to navigate computer-based systems for data entry, reporting and record management.
